G’day, just getting the blog ready for another trip, just a short one before Christmas, hopefully.
I’m trying to find a way of linking an interactive map to the blog but because this is a .com blog it is hosted by WordPress and not by me. There is a very good reason for this, ie; I have no idea how blogs work and so I don’t self-host and it’s cheaper and safer to let wordpress maintain it. The downside is that it quite restricted to what I can use in the way of ‘plug-ins’. Incidentally, if any of you have self-hosted blogs and tell me how easy it is to self-host – I’m listening.
Anyway, this link should take you to an interactive map of the Great Central Road, from Laverton in WA to Ulara (Ayers Rock) in the Northern Territory. We travelled this east to west in 2012 and are thinking of going through that way again on our long trip next year.

When you get to the website (Exploroz), scroll down and ‘click’ on ‘MAP’, this should bring up an interactive of the GCR.
If you could try it and see if it works that would be good.
Thank you.
Working for me, have a good trip.
