Back On The Road Again

Well, here we are having completed the first day of this trip.

Mind you it was not totally without incident.

The forecast was for bad weather, even a Red Alert from the insurance company, although I’m pretty sure its more likely to be a legal thing rather than altruism.    Any we had some pretty heavy rain, strong winds and thunder storms, which might have been enough to delay our start anyway but when I tried to change the freezer in the car over from AC to the battery there was no power.    After a few basic checks, I decided to nip into town to an auto electrician.   He sussed a broken wire immediately and repaired it forthwith and I was back home in under 40 mins!     However, discretion being the better part of valour we decide to leave it a while before departing.   The weather front was heading east and we didn’t particularly want to catch it up.   The rain isn’t too much of a problem but the wind can have a dangerous effect on the caravan.

In the end we left at about 1230.    We stopped for lunch in Dwellingup and had an uneventful drive out to Kulin, where we decided to stay tonight.

The route is through farmland and there numerous examples of the fact farmers have little to do most of the time!    Here is one of the better examples of what they find to do with their time.

On arrival it was still raining but we have to connect to the water supply to save our own for the next few nights and the electricity supply whilst we have option.

Please let me know if the links don’t work, there seems to be a different process after every upgrade.

  1. Hi Roger and Pat
Just letting you know the links via Onedrive share are working fine for me.
I liked the farmer’s artwork, one of the best I have seen of that type.
The map is good and double clicking on it scales it larger.
If someone did not have Onedrive access it may be harder to access perhaps??
Have a great trip. Regards Colin
